What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise the same browser on the next request. Some are essential to how a site works; others exist to track behaviour across sites.
Cookies this site sets
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
CT_SESSID |
Holds the session identifier. It carries the security token that protects the contact form against cross-site request forgery, and keeps an administrator signed in to the admin panel. | Until you close your browser | Strictly necessary |
That is the complete list. We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers.
Cookies set by other people
When you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to record the referral. That happens on their domain, under their policies, and we cannot read those cookies. If you would rather avoid them, note the code here and visit the store directly instead of following our link.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings, usually under Privacy. Blocking the session cookie will break the contact form and the admin sign-in, because the security token has nowhere to live. Nothing else on the site depends on it.
Changes
If we add a cookie, this table changes first. See also our privacy policy.
